WMC is not bound by geographic borders but works wherever the need arises and often directly in the client’s offices. WMC was involved or has insights in projects from around the world, including in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and the Americas. WiedemannConsultants works with Associate Partners and external partners. WMC offers an extensive range of expertise in airport, tourism and economic development planning but is also collaborating with a wide range of specialists worldwide.

Dr. Mirjam Wiedemann, PhD is the founder, owner and Managing Director of WiedemannConsultants. Mirjam is a German industrial engineer with wide experience in project management and a specialist in the field of Airport Cities, Aerotropolises and economic development. Furthermore, Mirjam holds a PhD from Southern Cross University in Australia. Mirjam’s research looked in particular at companies’ decision of location and infrastructure needs in airport-related regions with conducting direct research in the UAE, Germany and the US. Her articles about the topic are regularly published in industry magazines such as the Site Selection magazine. She is giving expert lectures on the topic worldwide and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences such as the Airport Cities Conference and SMART Airports Conference. Since foundation of WiedemannConsultants, Mirjam helped numerous international airports and regions with their strategy. Former projects include for instance the feasibility study for the Airport City at Copenhagen International Airport, the pre-feasibility study for the Aerotropolis of a Greenfield International Airport in Italy and the strategy and project management for the Medical Travel Project in Australia.
Mirjam is also an advisory board member of an EU project in aviation, an Adjunct Professional and Lecturer to Curtin University and Edith Cowan University in WA in Australia and engages with the FICCI Smart City Committee in India.
Mirjam speaks English, German, Spanish and very basic French. After living in Germany, Australia and Spain, Mirjam is currently based in the UK and is doing business all over the world.
