WiedemannConsultants (WMC) was founded by Dr. Mirjam Wiedemann in 2013 as the result of her deep desire to build more meaningful, sustainable developments that make sense for the owner, operator, investor and the people! If you are anything like us
What do we do?
Do you want to have a chat about your project? Then send us an email here.
Where do you find us?
WMC is registered in Berlin in Germany. However, WMC is not bound by geographic borders but works wherever the need arises and often directly in the client’s offices. While working side-on-side with the client, we find that we do not only get a better insight in existing challenges but also help with the capacity building. As a result, the client is empowered to continue with the long-term efforts for a successful outcome once we leave. Nevertheless, we regularly support the project still long time after we officially finished our work on the project. You can learn more about our 'Approach and Business Principles' here.
What is our experience?
WMC is involved in projects from around the world, including in Africa, Asia, Australia and Europe. In the last years we helped numerous airports and regions with their strategy. Typical projects we work on are the project design, set-up, execution and management of long-term strategic projects for local, regional and national economic developments that include tourism initiatives, business parks, Airport Cities, Aerotropolises, Smart Cities and aviation strategies. We also love to train, educate, mentor and having a wider positive impact (find out more about our 'Giving Back' policy). Former projects include for instance the feasibility study for the Airport City at Copenhagen International Airport, the pre-feasibility study for the Aerotropolis of a Greenfield International Airport in Italy and the tourism and economic development strategy for rural areas of Western Australia.
WMC offers an extensive range of expertise in airport, tourism and economic development planning (you can find out more about our services here; click on the pictures of the next page to read about the different services) but is also collaborating with a wide range of other specialists worldwide. We deeply care about our clients specific circumstances and requirements. Following the motto:
- you understand that well-planned projects who are benefitting everyone involved, pay off in the long-run.
- you care about the well-being of the people and the planet.
- you have a win-win outcome in mind.
- you dislike unethical people who only have their own profit in mind.
- you do not waste other people's time.
What do we do?
- We strategically master plan your Airport City and Aerotropolis
- We get your projects financed
- We manage projects from start to finish
- We bring communities and stakeholders together
- We increase the GDP of regions
- We increase tourism numbers
- We increase airport revenues

How is a small, higly specialised consultancy benefitting you and your project?
As we are a small company, Mirjam is always the main consultant and has full responsibility for the project. While big consultancies often claim to have worked on X amount of similar projects, the person who ends up working on your project often has hardly any experience in similar projects. Frequently, locally bound junior consultants will do the work and the reports are signed off by a more senior colleague. At WMC, you always profit from Mirjam's extensive knowledge and experience directly! Furthermore, in our experience, global consultancies have become too big to really foster knowledge exchange between the different regional offices and gained experience is often much more local. Mirjam will bring all her global experience to your project. Employees of bigger firms often have to work on 3 or 4 projects at the same time and cannot spend the time they would like to or have to on your project. At WMC, we rarely take on more than one project at a time and therefore, you have our full attention.
Do you want to learn more about why Mirjam and her affiliates are the best possible team for your project? Then read on and learn more about Mirjam.
